Anis in her bye bye with a combo of handkerchief is hilarious
Next episode will be like —Anis: "Euphie, get naked right now! It's all in the name of science!"
alright buddy I think you need to calm down a bit
"Royals don't lie"
then Princess Anis is a scammer lol
She lied as naturally as she breathed.
She never let go though
Of the handkerchief
Technically, she doesn't consider herself a Royal; otherwise, she wouldn't turn down her seat to be the next ruler. She may be titled one because of everyone's standard, but her top priority is definitely Engineer.
I had to laugh the moment Euphie realized Anis had sent her off on the flying broom alone. 😂
Anis is sly😂
The way Anis was waving her hanky had me dead xD
Top 10 Funniest Anime Moments! XD
I was just waiting for it, like whenever someone teaches a young person how to ride a bike.
Of course! Anis wanted to sweep her off her feet......but instead Euphie bristled at the thought of riding the broom alone.
I mean, she didn't have to look back, how the hell would Anis keep holding the broom after it flew so high up?
Rope?
That doesn't really count as holding it though.
Yes, BUT it did take her mind off of her prince-snafu.....Anis doesn't intend to give her time to feel sad....much. ;)
A beautiful Guinea Pig
Arc-en-Ciel. It means rainbow. Colorful, just like you.
So smooth.
If it has Ciel in it, it means it's perfect!!
"I-its must your imaginations!"
Is that a black butler reference?
Totally XD
That's obvious 👌
Isnt they made a play on the word archangel? Which made it wierd for me since idk whats the connection from rainbow to an archangel
"Arc en ciel" is "rainbow" in French. Japanese like to use French words from time to time. The literal translation is "arc/bow in the sky." There is no word play here.
Maybe you thought that because her pronunciation is not great.
French get their words swiped a lot. lol
For that matter, they also love using English, German, Chinese and Russian (I have seen the most English, then German, then French, then Chinese, and lastly Russian. Though maybe I’ve seen more Chinese than French, I honestly can’t recall that accurately)
There is also lots of Spanish in Bleach.
My bad, you're right.
However, outside of Bleach (Remember, Tite Kubo actually wanted to use... I believe it was Spanish, German, and French) spanish is seldom used in anime. I think think of maybe 1 other anime off the top of my head.
If I'm missing something in my memory though do feel free to fill me in. I just feel that I can definitely recall multiple anime that have the 4 languages I mentioned.
Certainly way more rare. Feels like every second anime has some German fetish and English is kind of sprinkled throughout every anime here and there.
IIRC the popular use of German in anime has origins back to WW2 when Germany and Japan were signers of the Tripartite Pact. Guess their old ally left a pretty big impact
hueco mundo made me smile when I realised after naturally reading it in spanish
Oh that makes total sense, i dont know french so hehe
The "Rainbow" translation is on point(as a literal translation, at the very least), so I'll agree with the subtitles that didn't say archangel
Pretty sure it straight up means "rainbow" and is not a play on archangel
I already knew the name Arc-en-ciel from the manga but I was genuinely surprised to hear the pronunciation that sounded so much like Archangel. Tbh I still think it fits her, more than the weapon.
Arc in the sky, literally translated from French. Löl
Euphylia: "Is this safe?"
Anis: "Yes. It's safe... until it's not"
I just love how Ilia never missed her chance to vent her frustration about Anis. She must have been through a lot lol
This episode is kinda depressing seeing what Euphy had gone through. It feels like she's getting punished for something she isn't even aware of, let alone did. Grantz's words came out quite cold but it's good to see the King reprimand him for that. I'm glad these two are very understanding parents.
You can tell Illia has a lot of pent-up frustration, lol
Being a maid in anime is very taxing lol
If I was the king I would disown the son. Yeah? You want to follow your own path? OK earn your living. Send him to hard labor.
I completely agree... unfortunately, with Anis having renounced her heritage, he's be left with no one to succeed him as king. >_<
Even worse, he'd likely have no end to the noble families trying to sell their daughters to him if he did that. Even ignoring Anis's proclomation, her inability to use magic (which is apparently seen as a physical manifestation of the right of nobility to rule) would cause many to dismiss her and instead try to have an heir to the royal family come from their house. Obviously their father doesn't intend on having more children any time soon but that rarely matters to overly ambitious people with an overinflated ego and with the current royal children both deemed unfit to inherit the throne it provides the perfect excuse to harass the king about his responsibility to leave behind an heir (just another problem with inheritance of power being an exclusively hereditary system).
Safe...-ish, but at least it's fun!
yeah, when i saw those maids cleanin up in front of euphie -_-
Ilia vents a lot but she's really fiercely loyal to Anis. Even if she got offered a better gig elsewhere, she'd turn it down in a heartbeat.
Ilia sure is cute though :-)
Light Saber and flying broom
Poor Euphie she became Guinea pig to Anis's Inventions. lol
